Original editable templates were recovered from Tengaged's public files:
http://www.tengaged.com/files/AvatarTemplate_PUBLIC.psd
http://www.tengaged.com/files/AvatarTemplate_PUBLIC.pdn
These are historical originals, not recreations. The four transparent body
PNGs are the exact aligned files currently used by Regaged. Use those PNGs
as locked body references to check the final fit on today's site.
Historical example outfits are reference layers, not part of your upload.

Canvas and export
-----------------
Use a 200 x 230 pixel canvas, matching all four body PNGs.
Keep the full canvas size and the body's original position. Do not crop,
stretch, or move the body reference. Check your design against all four bases.
Use the body as a locked reference layer while drawing your design above it.

Export only the artwork for the design type you are submitting, as a PNG.
Hide the body reference before exporting hair, shirts, eyes, or other overlays.
Keep unused areas transparent. A background design may fill the whole canvas.
For a Body design, export your custom body artwork instead. It overlays the
site body; transparent areas leave that underlying body visible.
Custom designs use their uploaded colors; they are not automatically tinted.
The upload limit is 512 KB per PNG. Submit one design type at a time.

Layer order: bottom to top
-------------------------
The avatar draws each later layer on top of all earlier layers:

1. Background (BACKGROUND), or the fixed #D7E7F4 background
2. Body (BODY)
The basic site body always remains beneath custom body artwork.
3. Shirt (SHIRT)
4. Mouth (MOUTH)
5. Eyes (EYES): complete custom eye design
6. Glasses (GLASSES)
7. Hair (HAIR)
8. Owned scar design (SCAR)
9. Hair ornament (HAIR_ORNAMENT)
10. Accessory (ACCESSORY)
11. Staff-controlled moderation marking, when assigned

Custom eyes include the complete eye artwork. There is no separate eye-white
or shirt-highlight upload layer in the current original-PNG avatar renderer.
Hair is above glasses; accessories are above hair and hair ornaments.
Moderation markings are staff-controlled, not player customization options.
Staff can adjust an individual design's draw layer without changing its
inventory slot. The order above is the default for designs with no override.

Before submitting
-----------------
Check alignment at 200 x 230 and at a smaller avatar size.
Hide every reference layer that is not part of your actual design.
Use PNG position when uploading a correctly aligned full-canvas design.
Choose the matching design type in Submit a design.
